the friends and family of Sara Jane Drescher.

 

On March 1, 2023 we lost a beautiful soul, and while our hearts are heavy here at WID, we are grateful for her incredible legacy.

Sara Jane was an incredible woman, an amazing mother, a loving wife, and she made an impact on everyone she met. Sara Jane lost her beautiful daughter Donna Winger at a very young age to domestic violence. While Sara Jane outlived Donnah, she did not let that tragedy stop her. Sara Jane has been an incredible supporter of Women In Distress, and has done much to help and prevent what happened to her own daughter. Sara Jane has pulled together her family and many friends to support the mission of Women In Distress and to make a difference.

Not only did she make an impact on the mission of Women In Distress, but she made an impact on each and every employee she met. From her donation drop-offs, to her crafting beautiful quilts for our survivors, or volunteering at our Back To School Drive – every WID employee who came in contact with Sara Jane looked forward to seeing her and can attest to what a special soul she was. Sara Jane’s spirit and generosity were contagious, and we are grateful to have been a part of the personal mission of this dynamic world changer!

We will never forget the memory and legacy of Sara Jane Drescher, it will live on forever in our hearts, and forever at Women In Distress. Sara Jane Drescher, you will be missed.
