Susan Guttman lead a very philanthropic life and supported the work of several charities, helping our community grow and thrive through different missions. Women In Distress is lucky and grateful to be one of those charities. Both during her life and after her passing, Susan continues to impact the work of WID in stopping domestic violence abuse. Her generosity and commitment to the mission continues, and her memory lives on. For more than ten years, Susan consistently supported annual fundraising campaigns, such as our Back-to-School Drive, Thanksgiving Food Drive, and Winter Holiday Drive, bringing joy and hope for a violence-free life to survivors of domestic violence and their children in the times they need it the most. After her passing, Susan continues to make a difference for domestic violence survivors at Women In Distress with her Legacy Gift that will effect change for years to come. This is the difference you too can make.
CREATE YOUR LEGACY THROUGH A PLANNED GIFT
Gift Planning is the integration of personal, financial, and estate planning goals with a person’s goals for lifetime or testamentary charitable giving. The right plan for you balances what you wish to accomplish for yourself, your family, and your charitable interests in your overall estate and financial plans.
Whatever the reasons, U.S. tax law is designed to encourage planned gifts. Planned gifts provide YOU the donor with financial flexibility and tax benefits as well as the opportunity to truly help make an impact in your community.
Reasons for Making a Charitable Gift
- Tax benefit (immediately / over time).
- Make an immediate impact while receiving recognition.
- Receive other benefits, such as income stream.
- A desire to share one’s good fortune with others.
