In honor of what would have been Jim Moran’s 100th birthday on August 8, The Jim Moran Foundation has committed more than $10 million in special grants to prepare and empower individuals and families for healthy, self-sufficient and bright futures. As one of the 14 grant recipients, Women In Distress has received $1 million to further its mission and programs.
Women In Distress is very honored to be part of this celebration and proud to have had the support of Jim and Jan Moran and The Jim Moran Foundation for many years.
“This grant extends Mr. Moran’s legacy in a very special way,” said Mary Riedel, President and CEO of Women In Distress. “The Jim Moran Foundation has long supported programs that strengthen services for our families and children and expanded the education and prevention programs that are conducted in schools. With this generous gift, we have the capacity to grow and become stronger as an organization.”
On behalf of the women, children, teens and men we serve, Women In Distress deeply thanks Jan Moran and The Jim Moran Foundation in partnering with us to fulfill our mission to stop domestic violence abuse for everyone through intervention, education, and advocacy.
