Contributions to the general fund provide a valuable source of unrestricted support that impacts every aspect of the mission of Women In Distress of Broward County, Inc. These gifts ensure that there will always be a safe place for families in our community. However, there are a variety of other ways to support Women In Distress and we welcome your involvement on all levels.

How You Can Help

1) Host A Donation Drive:
Organizing a donation drive is one of the easiest ways to support Women In Distress. Gather your family, friends, scout troop, association, or office to collect items for Women In Distress. Women In Distress shelters more than 400 women and children each year and serves an additional 700+ with outreach services at our Jim & Jan Moran Family Center. Monday – Thursday: 9am to 9pm, Friday: 9am to 5pm

Women In Distress Thrift Store
1372 North State Road 7, Margate
On 441 Between Copans Road and Coconut Creek Parkway
Hours:
Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat: 10am-6pm
Tues and Thurs: 10am-5pm
Sunday: 11am-5pm
Donations Accepted:
Gently-used items and furniture

Please Note: We encourage dropping off all furniture or large items at the Women In Distress Thrift Store in Margate. We have limited ability to do pick-ups. To make arrangements for furniture donations, please call 954-975-7425. You will receive a receipt for your donation at either location.
