AmeriCorps members educate the public on intimate partner violence, bullying, teen dating violence, as well as participate in other community service projects. Serving with AmeriCorps at Women In Distress is a great way to contribute to the community while acquiring leadership skills, knowledge in the areas of Social Services and Domestic Violence, forming new social networks, and increasing public speaking ability.
