Women In Distress Auxiliary (WIDA)

WIDA is the fund raising arm of the Women in Distress organization. The purpose of this organization shall be to provide and promote community awareness and financial support through fundraising events and membership dues to support Women In Distress of Broward County. Our goal is to raise funds and awareness for the organization so they may continue to provide services for victims of domestic violence. Members raise funds by hosting a major gala in the month of October and having two member socials in the spring and fall of each year and hosting membership drive “mixers” throughout the year. Domestic violence hurts the whole family. Our members speak out by saying “Domestic Violence is Unacceptable”.
