Where do I send my gift?

How do I make a credit card donation?

Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes. All donations to Women In Distress are tax deductible on federal tax returns subject to the limits allowed by the Internal Revenue Service. If you make a gift associated with an event, the Development Office will provide you with the necessary documentation for tax purposes.

What if my company or foundation only contributes to 501(c)3 organizations?

In 1977, Women In Distress of Broward County, Inc. was granted a 501(c)3 status. A copy of the determination letter is available from the Development Office.

I can only make a small gift at this time. Will it still make an impact?

Every gift makes a difference. The cumulative effect of several small gifts is very significant. Whatever your donation, you truly make a difference.

How can I take advantage of my company's Matching Gift Program?

You can double or further multiply the impact of a gift if you are an employee or retiree of a corporation that matches gifts to qualified institutions. Simply forward your company's matching gift form to us for processing.

Can I contribute a gift-in-kind or a gift of my time and talents?

What opportunities are there for recognition?

We are pleased to recognize our partners in the fight against domestic violence. With your approval recognition of your gift reflects our shared commitment to stop abuse for everyone and serves to inspire other donors.

Donors are recognized by membership in the Dove Society. Additionally, sponsorships of special events offer opportunities for recognition in program materials and media coverage. Naming opportunities at our facilities are available, as are recognition plaques on the wall of the Jim & Jan Moran Family Center.

The Development Department of Women In Distress is staffed with professionals who are experienced in assisting you with all types of charitable gifts. We will help you design a giving plan that is in your best interest and also fulfills your desire to help stop domestic violence.
